Meet the Band

We are a collective of like-minded artists pursuing passion projects and paying homage to our favorite bands with our own original flare. We are the Tin Can Tourist Band!

Joe is a passionate musician and entertainer with an eclectic background. Born near Buffalo, NY, Joe has devoted his life to his love of making music. He has been the songwriter and lead singer of several notable bands who were signed to indie labels including Flood City Shootout (Lucky 13 Records) and The Vinyl Strangers (New DNA Records) who both hail from the college music town of Athens, GA. Paste Magazine called the debut Flood City Shootout CD "one of the greatest albums ever recorded" (Sept. 2008). In 2007, Flagpole Magazine had The Vinyl Strangers' eponymous CD on its list of Top 10 albums of the year. He also plays in a duo called The G-Men with his brother, Chris in Port Charlotte, FL. In 2017, he sought out musicians who shared his vision and met the members of and founded Tin Can Tourist Productions.

I was looking for guys that liked the same music that I did. Who knew we would hit it off so well, we'd eventually form a production company?
- Joe Guerzo

Jason Copeland (aka. Jason Starr, Jason Holly, Jason Ramone, Wild Man) -Drums/Percussion/Tomfoolery/Vocals:
Born in Cerro Gordo, Illinois, Jason grew up watching his father play drums. At eleven, he picked up his first pair of drum sticks and has been delivering sick beats ever since. He broke into the bar scene when he was fifteen and honed his skills playing with various bands over the years, including an original band called The Humans and the rockabilly band The Throttle Junkies. He plays about every genre, and his influences are "too many to name." He lives in Cape Coral and provides a steady back-beat that holds the The Tin Can Tourist Productions together.

Jim Schuckel - Bass/Vocals:

Hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jim is a mechanic by day and bad-ass bass player by night. Either way, he always works to keep it tight. Jim started playing guitar in high school, but recently found his passion for the bass. He has worked with several bands in the area, most recently with hard rockers Stone Krow. Above all else, Jim loves to perform and is always ready to play anywhere, anytime.

Four guys. Five Tribute Sets. Endless Beats.

The Budding Hollies is a tribute band to the great Buddy Holly. If Elvis was the King, then Buddy must've been the Prime Minister of Rock and Roll. One of the first to wear the hats of songwriter, producer and musician, he was taken away much too young.

The Sons of Beetles pays tribute to The Beatles, arguably the best band ever. The guys grew up on their music, and their love for them is genuine. A little known fact: "The Beatles were heavily influenced by Buddy Holly, so it's only fitting they were the second band we chose to pay tribute."  - Guerzo

Following the death of Tom Petty, Steady Petty was formed to perform on the one year anniversary of his passing. "We all are crazy about his music and are proud to honor this great Floridian." - Copeland

Pix Ramona immortalizes the angst-driven tones of 2 of the most influential indie/punk bands, the Pixies and Ramones.

"This was the first of the tribute bands we put together, so it has a special place in my heart. It's a great band for a raucous late-night set." - Guerzo

Cheap Grift is the newest tribute set added to our repertoire, honoring the power pop rock of Cheap Trick, with emphasis on their early hits like Surrender and I Want You to Want Me.

"I think Cheap Trick's "Live at Budokan" is one of the finest live albums ever made. You can really feel their energy!" - Schuckel
